Securitag Assembly Group Co., Ltd. (SAG) is located in Dali Industrial Park, Taichung City. Chao Chun-Ying, the organizer of the blood drive, has been in contact with the Taichung Blood Center since late 2021. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Company is forced to postpone the blood drive.After the pandemic abated in August this year, Chao Chun-Ying immediately contacted the Taichung Blood Center to reschedule the blood drive. Since some colleagues were diagnosed with COVID-19, the number of potential blood donors decreased. Concerned that the number of blood donors may not be sufficient to send a bloodmobile, colleagues from nearby “SANNENG Group Holdings Co., Ltd.” were invited to co-host a charity blood drive that was held on September 8.
Although both companies have never held blood drives before, one can feel the dedication and attention to detail of the staff from SAG and SANNENG Group during the preparation process or at the blood drive. They also printed red banners to bolster publicity. The enthusiastic support of the supervisors and colleagues is truly moving.
Despite the improving conditions of the pandemic, the government’s gradual loosening of various pandemic prevention measures, and the fact that people learned how to coexist with the virus, many companies, schools, or organizations are still reluctant to organize blood drives because of the pandemic.The Taichung Blood Center has been in constant blood shortage since July this year. Thanks to SAG and SANNENG Group for organizing blood drives, allowing the colleagues to roll up their sleeves to help people. In total, they raised 78 and 43 bags for the blood bank, respectively, among which 13 and 8 colleagues were first-time blood donors.
